The film is working hard this May!

Aside from screening in competition at Seattle and Busan this month, the short film has been selected to represent Ireland in the second edition of Doc-Europa, organised by the Portuguese documentary association Apordoc. 27 documentaries, each from one of the 27 EU countries, will be screened in Oporto this weekend (7-9 May) and in Lisbon the next (14-16 May). Forty Foot screened in competition at last year’s Doclisboa International Festival, where it attracted the attention of the European doc festival organisers. More information about the Lisbon screenings here.

It has also been selected for competition at the Henley International Film Festival happening in Henley-on-Thames in the UK at the end of May. The- HIFF focuses exclusively on independent documentaries and we’re delighted to have been chosen as part of their great selection of international films.

So, from Western Europe to South Korea and the North West US coast, if you happen to be in any of those places, you can see Forty Foot “at a festival near you”. Two of the fillmmakers, Paul and Leticia will also be attending the Seattle fest from 19th to the 23rd May. If you’re there and see us, say hello!
